Master's Dissertation Project - Faculty of Wood Engineering

This is my dissertation project presented at the Master's graduation. The theme of the project was to prepare a complete project of 2 pieces of furniture containing translucent materials. The project includes the study stage of the material and furniture design including the history, the stage of sketching the concept, project and technological stages, the economic calculation based on the estimate and workmanship, and the practical part that I did at the workplace, the Lemnartis workshop.
I chose translucent flexible slate as a material because it has an impressive effect when illuminated. The pieces of furniture are a chest of drawers and a coffee table. Both are built from MDF with Oak veneer, CNC-processed MDF, Moldable Plywood, and Translucent Flexible Slate. I have documented each stage of the assembly of the parts.
