Futuristic Nightstand – A Perfect Fusion of Corian and Wood

As part of my Master’s project in Wood Engineering at Transilvania University Brasov, I designed a concept nightstand that embodies futuristic and minimalist design principles. The piece features a round shape when seen from above, and from the side, it transforms into a sleek half-cylinder profile. The exterior is crafted from Corian, while the interior structure is made from wood, combining the best of both materials. The design includes a shelf, a small space underneath, and a drawer with a bent front, creating a functional yet visually striking piece. The use of smooth curves, modern lines, and beautiful color tones makes this nightstand a unique, contemporary design that blends seamlessly into any modern bedroom.
